Society Integration Fund launches a re-project competitions programme “Promoting the projection of minority NGOs” Vidzeme and Latgale Planning Region NGOs financed from the State budget grant funds allocated to the Fund for the Integration of the Society.

The aim of the programme is to promote the participation of representatives of minorities living in Latvia in Latvian society, improving the projection of minority societies and foundations, ensuring the development of training projects in the preparation of ideas, preparation of project applications and project implementation.

Within the framework of the programme, it is planned to train the leaders of minority associations and foundations registered in the Republic of Latvia, as well as the administrative staff involved in the day-to-day operation of the association. Programmes planned under the programme aimed at providing practical project writing and implementation skills. A full project cycle shall be included in the training programme, including:

  • Project goal formulation
  • Feasibility study and analysis of the situation
  • Design of project submission
  • Project budget planning
  • Implementation of the project
  • Reporting on progress and results of project implementation
  • Evaluation and use of results.

The programme funding available under this competition is: EUR 12 000 the State budget grant funds allocated to the Fund for the Integration of the Society. The maximum funding available for one project is EUR 6 000.

The project may be submitted by a association or foundation registered in the Republic of Latvia which operates in Latgale and/or Vidzeme Planning Region and fulfils the following conditions:

  • is a regional organisation and operates throughout the planning region or a national organisation;
  • the organisation's statutes include, as one of the main activities, the promotion of civil society development and/or the education of non-governmental organisations;
  • over the past 5 years, the organization has made significant efforts in the field of civil society development in its programming region and has participated in addressing key issues of the region, involving other NGOs and society in this process, including providing advice to other NGOs;
  • the organisation has at least 5 years of experience in cooperation with other NGOs, as well as national and local authorities, addressing issues of importance for the planning region.
  • it has at least 5 years of experience in the implementation of projects financed by various funders;
  • “Promoting the design of minority NGOs”, the tender regulations and the project application form are available on the website of the Society Integration Fund on the Internet at www.f.gov.lv.

ATTENTION!

The following derogations from the invitation to tender shall apply to this invitation to tender:

- In the first subparagraph of point 2.1.1 of the tender Regulation, an additional limit is laid down: “The project may be submitted by an association or foundation established in the Republic of Latvia which operates in Latgale and/or Vidzeme Planning Region and fulfils the following conditions: …" - In paragraph 2.2.1, an additional limit is laid down: “Project target group” means the managers of minority societies and foundations registered in the Republic of Latvia which operate in Latgale and/or Vidzeme Planning Region, as well as the administrative staff involved in the day-to-day operation of the association. " - the last paragraph of point 2.2.2 specifies the period of implementation: the total duration of implementation of the training course and pilot project shall not exceed two months. All project activities must be completed by 30 October 2015. " - The first sentence of paragraph 5.3 specifies the closing date for the submission of the final report: “After the end of the project, the project implementer will have to submit a final report of the project to be prepared in accordance with the form and submitted within 10 working days of the end of the project, but in any event no later than 13 November 2015.”

The other conditions laid down in the tender rules shall remain unchanged.

The deadline for submission of project applications is 20 July 2015. Project applications may be submitted:

  • personally (up to 17:00) or by post Company Integration Fund, address Aspasion Boulevard 24 (3 rd floor), Riga, LV-1050 (in one original with an electronic version of the data in the media);
  • in electronic formsigned with secure electronic signature and time stamp when sending to e-mail address: apmacibas@sif.gov.lv.

Ask questions about the preparation of project applications by email to address konkursi@sif.gov.lv, by reference to the tender for these projects, no later than the following year 15 July.
