Adoption of draft proposals for the national and EU support measure “Support for the improvement of the material base”

The Rural Support Service shall announce the acceptance of applications for the State and European Union support measure “Support for the improvement of the material base” in accordance with Cabinet Regulation No. 59 of 3 February 2015 “Procedures for granting State and European Union aid for the promotion of investments in agriculture” (hereinafter - Regulation No. 59).

Available financing for the applicants referred to in Regulation No 59:

1. The applicant who ensures the maintenance and updating of the recalculation cadastre data in accordance with the melioration law - 104 342 EURO.

2. The applicant who fulfils the functions of the secretariat of the National Rural and Fisheries Cooperation Network in accordance with the laws and regulations regarding the procedures for administering the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund, the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the European Fisheries Fund, as well as the State and European Union support for agriculture, rural and fisheries development, and the entire territory of Latvia shall provide advisory services in the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector and rural development issues - 100 000 EURO.

3. An applicant who has registered in the register of scientific institutions for at least five years and provides student training in accordance with accredited higher education national programmes in the field of agriculture, food, forestry and veterinary medicine - EUR 1 170 000, including:

3.1. an applicant who provides practical training for students for at least five years, as well as consultative activities and scientific research in accordance with national programmes of higher education in the agricultural sector - 253 000 EURO;

3.2. an applicant who performs scientific work in relation to the breeding of perennial grassland and the cultivation of sample seed, as well as agro-technical research in the agricultural sector - EUR 64 500;

3.3. an applicant who performs scientific research and educational work in the field of agricultural engineering and technology, promoting the practical utilisation of the results thereof - EUR 10 000.

4. An applicant who performs scientific activity in the field of fruit-growing by providing expert-examination for the development of the development policy of the fruit-growing sector and the scientific justification for the implementation thereof and promoting the integrated development of science and education, as well as the protection of the genetic resources of Latvian fruit and berries and the sustainable utilisation thereof - EUR 225 000.

5. The applicant for scientific work in cereal breeding as well as ensuring the protection of genetic resources for cereal species or potatoes and their sustainable use - EUR 405 000.

The submission of applications will take place from 2 April 2015 to 5 May 2015.

Submissions shall be submitted TO LAD Regional Agricultural Administrations Customer Service Parts or LAD Customer Service Park in Riga, Republic of Republic 2, 2 nd floor (tel. 67027693, 67027326, 67027687).

A submission in the form of an electronic document, signed with electronic signature and certified by a time stamp in accordance with the procedures laid down in the Law on Electronic Documents, may also be submitted lad@lad.gov.lv.
