State Education Development Agency (VIAA) informs that the European Commission (EC) has launched the 2018 competition in the European Union Erasmus + programmes for a Charter of Vocational Education and Training Mobility, which provides an opportunity to apply Erasmus + programme support in simplified order.
The deadline for submission of applications is 17 May 2018 at 12.00 (Brussels time). The application and its annexes must be submitted by electronic means in online mode. According to THE information provided BY THE EC, the online application form will be available online in March 2018 and a sample of the form is currently available for the information.
Detailed information and tender documentation, including invitation to tender, sample form, instructions for filling out the form, guidelines for the preparation of the mandatory annex, etc., available IN THE SECTION of THE VIAA website Charter for Vocational Education Mobility. Information on the open competition will also be available on THE EC website shortly, the link to be found in THE SECTION VIAA website above.
IN the first quarter of 2018, VIAA will organise a seminar on the preparation, submission and evaluation of the Charter applications. We are invited to follow up-to-date information ON THE VIAA website or login to websites to receive news in e-mail.
Erasmus + the Charter for Vocational Education and Training Mobility has been launched for a fourth time. IN 2015, THE VIAA awarded one Charter, eight in 2016 and five charters in 2017. In general, the Charter has received eleven vocational training centres and three vocational educational institutions.
The Charter is granted to all Erasmus + programme time - by 2020 and monitoring is carried out in the course of implementation. Considering that Erasmus + the programme approves the conclusion, THE EC expects that the duration of the Charter in fulfilling certain criteria could be extended beyond Erasmus + the end of the programme.
Although obtaining a charter for institutions simplifies logging Erasmus + learning mobility for learners and staff, it is not a mandatory requirement for participation in this activity. Organisations may submit applications for the financing of mobility projects in accordance with Erasmus + the guidelines set out in the guidelines.
Ministry of Education and Science is responsible for the European Union (EU) Erasmus + implementation of the programme in Latvia, while THE ILO and the youth international programme agency provide THE EU Erasmus + implementation of the programme.
