Launched co-financing competition for projects supported BY EU programmes

The Ministry of Culture launches a competition for European Union programmes “Creative Europe”, “Europe for Citizens”, “Rights, Equality and Citizenship” and projects supported by other European Commission, international organisations or foreign foundations in the field of public integration and civil society.

The Ministry of Culture shall announce a tender for co-financing for projects which have already received support in the European Union programme “Creative Europe” (2014-2020), the European Union programme “Europe for Citizens” (2014-2020), the European Union programme “Rights, equality and citizenship” (2014-2020) and other European Commission, international organisations or foreign foundations in the field of society integration and civil society.

The available national budget co-financing in this tender shall be eur 160 780, broken down as follows:

  • 86 318 eur 67.06.00 sub-programme (European Union programme “Creative Europe” (2014-2020), co-financing of project applications supported by the European Union Programme for Citizens (2014-2020);
  • 74 462 euro 26.01.00 sub-programme (European Union programme “Rights, equality and citizenship” (2014-2020) and co-financing of project applications supported by European Commission, international organisations or foreign funds in the field of public integration and civil society).

Applications must be submitted to the Management Unit of the Ministry of Culture until 13 March 2020. 17.00 by sending them in person or by post, address: K.Valdemara street 11a, Riga, LV-1364 (postmark – 13 March 2020) or e-mail address in electronic form pasts@km.gov.lvsigned with a secure electronic signature, approved by time stamp and drawn up in accordance with the laws and regulations regarding the drawing up of electronic documents.

The submitted project applications will be evaluated by the evaluation Commission set up by the Ministry of Culture, taking into account several criteria, such as the quality of the project application, the proportion of activities in Latvia in the international project, the status of Latvian organisations in the project, the compliance of project objectives with Latvian cultural policy priorities and the project publicity plan.

In view of the fact that co-financing to beneficiaries of supported projects will be credited after the closure of the contract with the Ministry of Culture, the expected start of the project eligible activity period will be May.
