Issued Real Property Tax (IIP) Payment Notifications for 2016
Municipal real estate tax (NIP) payers have issued payment notices for the calculated IIP for 2016. The tax on land and housing is calculated for a year and is divided into four instalments: this year THE deadline for payment OF THE ULN is fixed: 31 March, 16 May, 15 August and 15 November. Payment may be made both in instalments and in the form of an advance, until the first payment deadline, by 31 March, by paying the total amount.
On the other hand, if the time limits for payment are overdue, then, in accordance with the time-limit rule, the payer is charged a late payment - from the principal outstanding at the time of 0,05 per day.
To pay THE NIP at local government billing points, bank, internetbank, as well as in portals www.epakalpojumi.lv and www.latvija.lv .
It should be stressed that when the payment is effected through the internetbank, it is essential to ascertain whether the transfer is addressed to the municipality which issued the notification of THE payment OF THE NIP and to transfer the transfer to one of the local government accounts indicated in the payment notice drawn up. Similarly, the payer's personal account number for the land and the personal account number for buildings, the address of the property or the cadastre number for which the payment was made should be clearly indicated in the payment target.
But the most secure and convenient way to pay THE NIP is in the portal www.epakalpojumi.lv or www.latvija.lv, because local government bank accounts ARE available FOR payment OF THE NIP, as well as the taxpayer automatically shows all the necessary information.
Citizens are also encouraged to make more active use of other services available in connection with THE payment OF NIP in the portal www.epakalpojumi.lv. For example, users who are authorized for a service can obtain information about the tax due in the portal and pay them, apply for payment notification in e-mail, which is much more convenient and significant saving resources, as well as logging in to receive a reminder in e-mail or SMS in the form of an approaching NIP payment deadline.
