Assess the concentration OF indoor CO2 IN general educational institutions of Latvia

The Health Inspectorate (Inspectorate) informs that on 30 September, the Inspectorate as a co-operation partner OF the Ministry of Health IN THE ESF project “complex health promotion and disease prevention measures” will launch phase 3 of the “Environmental Quality and Safety Study of Educational Institutions”. Researchers will assess an important indicator of the environmental quality of the general educational institutions of Latvia – the concentration OF indoor CO2. Until the end of the heating season, 21 schools are planned to be surveyed in accordance with the selection of educational institutions, which covers all the planning regions of Latvia and the types of populated site.
In the period from October 2017 to March 2019, researchers surveyed 41 schools, performing indoor air quality measurements in 118 classrooms. The study is expected to continue until December 2022, with a total of 109 schools being surveyed.
