Jānis Kapaja Sakstagala primary school is equipped with an energy efficient boiler

The smart use of natural resources is also a reduction in heating energy consumption and an efficient heating system. Thanks to the project implemented, Jānis Kaida Sakstagala primary school has adopted a new boiler of granules. This will increase the efficiency of heat exchanger, the efficiency of fuel combustion, while students and teachers will have more comfortable and warmer learning facilities.
The purpose of the project “Sakstagala Jānis KCo. Simplified Reconstruction works of the primary school building” is to reduce primary energy consumption and contribute to improving energy efficiency in the primary school building. The main activities of the project are Sakstagala Jānis KCo. the construction of the construction work of the primary school building, the replacement of the old windows, the reconstruction of the heating system and construction supervision. The expected results of the project are a reduction of the primary energy consumption of 295 745,94 kilowatt hours per year, a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions per year of 106,09 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent. The total amount of works shall be eur 201681,22 excluding VAT. The project is supported BY THE EU ERDF project “Growth and Employment” 4.2.2. of the specific support objective “to promote energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy in municipal buildings in accordance with local government integrated programmes”.
