Two in one! It could describe both events that took place on 23 January at the New Virgin School - the opening of a symbolic act after repair and stage talk competition “zvirbulis 2020!”
As at the time of the festival, it was not the speech of the head of the school director Ivarigaun and the head of the Shergana parish council, Diana Saksones, the cut-off of the tape and the sweetness of the sweets. Thanks to the parish workers Alexander Morzov and Valerie Sharikov, who carried out repairs with the greatest responsibility and professionalism. The hall looks very elegant: new ceiling and lighting, painted walls, laminate flooring, new windows and stage curtains.
No one has any secret that today, pupils are looking for all the necessary information on the Internet for both learning needs and entertainment. A great deal of pleasure for those who find time and love for reading books, but even more delighted that the read text (poem or story) is an artistic beauty of the pupil and expressionately agreed to the audience. The most courageous students of the New Junior School took part in the school's stage talk competition “zvirbulis 2020!”
Participants started in two age groups - classes 1 to 4 and classes 5 to 9. Four participants had appeared in the primary school group, three, because one girl was sick. There were five members in the older group.
The smaller and larger “sparrows” were valued by the teacher jury, which was composed of the visual art teacher Svetlana Patmalniece, the music teacher, Daiga Grestiņa and the pre-school teacher Elita Kupruka. The jury took note of whether the bidder knew the poem he had chosen from his head, what his visual image was, how pronounced it was, whether the poem was in the age of a member.
In the primary school age group, the first place was awarded to Rinald Razgalim (class 1), second place for Caroline Marmiwa (class 1) and third place for Roland Anufrijev (class 2). In the fifth-ninth class, the first place is Elgaram Razgalim (class 8), second place for Marcus Kapacim (class 5), third place for Andris Martinov (class 6). All prize winners were awarded with diplomas. The gratitude for attendance and diligence was also received by Renata Anufrijeva (class 5) and Uldis Juļs (class 5).
“Zvirbulis 2020” was the first event in the repaired school hall. There is a lot of interesting, creative and inspiring event for the school friendly family. Let us be proud of what we have done so that we can appreciate and respect the work we have done to protect both tangible and spiritual values in our school!
