Education

As early as autumn 2019, a new study subject – drama – will be introduced in general educational schools, which will allow pupils from the medium to learn performing arts skills, develop contacts and public speaking skills. On the other hand, the Rezekne municipality manages Nautrēnu secondary school pupils thanks TO EU funding (project “Support for the development of individual competences”, No. 8.3.2.2/16/I/001), already in this school year, it was possible to test such practices.
From December 2017 to April 2018, ON a monthly BASIS, Nautrēnu high school students in the Rēzekne Theatre “Joriks” were active in the cycle of creative workshops “Dzeivuo puosoka”, gaining insights into the basics of stage, activism, dramaturgy, director and improvisation. The actors with pupils both got their stories and played them in ethics and improvised the questions they asked.
This is what the participants themselves say about the lessons:
“It was very nice to meet the theatre and stage life in different classes.” We had a kind of family, we felt hungry, working in the team. '
“I learned in these lessons what the ethics was, learned to work in the group and made my own fairy tales.”
“It was very interesting that there would be a lot of lessons in life, not just dictating exercises for everyday, but also for the festival of friends.”
At the end of the project, the workshop participants demonstrated their performance – self-study legends and stories about THE creation OF Nautrēnu – it should be noted that there was also a very fresh and self-educated young student among the ancient people. Workshop trainers are pleased with the progress made and note that the mobility and creativity of pupils have increased significantly during the project.
