Young people are invited to apply for the project “NAMELY and DO”

The municipality of Rezekne, in cooperation with the youth international programme agency, will implement the European Social Fund project “namely and do!”. This will take place in the specific support objective of the programme “Growth and Employment” 8.3.3. “to develop the skills of the NON-registered NEET youth of THE SEA and to promote their involvement in education, THE activities of THE SEA within the framework of“ Youth Guarantee ”and the activities of non-governmental organisations or youth centres”.

The aim of the project is to motivate and activate young people who do not start, work, pursue trade and are not registered in the State Agency of Employment (SEA) as unemployed, as well as to promote their involvement in education, including vocational training, the initiative “Youth Guarantee” in activities implemented BY THE SEA and the State Education Development Agency, and the activities of non-governmental organisations or youth centres.

As a result of the implementation of the project, it is planned to provide support for young people aged 15-29 who do not receive, work or receive trade and are not registered WITH SEA as jobseekers.

The municipality and its strategic partners will carry out the following activities in the project:

• Awareness-raising activities of the target group and awareness-raising activities involving local government strategic partners;
• The profiling of the target group and the development of individual action programmes;
• Motivating, activating and supporting young people in the target group under an individual action programme drawn up on the basis of profiling results to promote the involvement of these young people in education, including vocational training at masters, THE activities of THE SEA under the “Youth Guarantee” initiative, non-governmental organisations or youth centres.

Individual Program

In cooperation with each young person, by identifying his or her skills, interests and acquired education, as well as establishing development directions, an individual programme of activities will be developed for the development of personality and involvement in society and working life. Individual work with young people on project features will be provided over a period of nine months. This will include:

• regular individual mentor support (at least 20 hours per month),
• non-formal and informal learning activities,
• specialist advice,
• participation in events (camps, seminars, sports activities, cultural events),
• volunteering activities, involvement in activities, events and projects of non-governmental organisations and youth centres,
• excursions to companies or temporary practice in a company (to familiarise themselves with the profession of activity in order to choose to obtain professional qualification or to acquire an occupational job at a master),
• involvement in local public activities etc.

Time of implementation of the project – by December 2018.

The municipality of Rēzekne calls on young people aged 15-29 who do not work, work, occupy and have no registered SEA as unemployed, apply for participation in the project.
