For young people

In collaboration with THE Vērēmu parish youth centre, the association “centre of interest” organised a camp “closer to nature” from 3 to 5 August, with THE participation of Vērēmu parish and Ozolmuižas parish young people with whom friendly relations have developed over several years. The camp took place on the shore of Lake Razna, in tents, without means of communication, telephones, computers, TV, social networks, according to the camp name “closer to nature”.
Three days were spent in a “tent town” which young people had set up to adapt their lives to nature, they also had to install a fire site and make a sip. The boys took care of it. On the other hand, the girls were creative in cooking, of course on the fire - both soup and other food were prepared. Young people actively spent time playing volleyball, football and participating in various sporting relay.
Young people had the opportunity to explore the sites and sites of the Rezekne municipality. Both Mākoņkalns and big flame hill were visited, where we climbed into the tower where a wonderful look at the surroundings opened. We visited Lūznavas in Manor, where THE head of THE Lūznavas parish administration presented the history of the estate, surveyed the estate and the art exhibitions therein.
As the camp name was “closer to nature”, we visited the Nature Education Center “Razna”. Knowledge of protected areas of nature, Razna Park residents in forest, meadow and water. As we walked barefoot, we felt a trail of sensation, playing the team activity that made it clear that young people were able to cooperate with each other.
At the end of the camp, the young people concluded that, without means of communication and social networks, it would be useful and interesting to spend the free time in a circle of friends. Sitting at the fire, the young people became more open, which brought pleasant communication among us.
Thanks to the municipality of Rezekne for the funding granted, which allowed an active and useful rest.
