Youth guarantees for winter admission call for 64 professions free of charge

Begun Guarantees for youth winter reception where young people can apply for a profession at a short time free of charge. In early 2018, 24 professional educational institutions throughout Latvia are offered training in the professions requested in the 64 labour market. In 39 professions, training is carried out for a year and a half by 12 January, while in 25 professions the training takes a year and may be submitted by 23 February.
In the summer of that year, the changes were confirmed Guarantees for youth the rules for admission. They foresee that unemployed young people aged 17-29 may apply for the programme. Young people may also be registered as jobseekers or unemployed persons and receive unemployment benefit at the same time. Young people who are employed or self-employed may also apply for training, but only if they are between 17 and 24 years of age and can combine work with training. These young people may also be on parental leave if the care of the child can be combined with the acquisition of the profession.
To login to one of Guarantees for youth professions, young people need primary school, secondary school or secondary vocational education. Students and students who receive secondary education in distance learning or study part-time studies at universities may also apply for training.
Mācības In the Youth Guarantee allows a scholarship from 70 to 115 euros per month if the young person is successful, as well as the necessary training, free space at the service hotel and career support events. In turn, in the course of qualification practice, travel expenses and accommodation shall be paid to young people, if necessary.
The application for training must be carried out at the selected vocational training institution. Training for a year and a half will begin 15 January (login to 12 January), while in year-long programmes - 26 February (login to 23 February.
