The chance of young people in the fair will be able to learn about opportunities for education, practice, work and participation

On October 10, AS part of the OPENING day of THE EU home, from 16:00 to 18:00 will take place in the youth opportunity fairs, where experts from eight organisations will be informed of the opportunities for education, practice, work and participation. The event will take place in Aspasian Boulevard 28, Riga, 1 st floor.

Individual advice to any interested party on current events in the framework of the Youth Guarantee will be provided by the senior expert of the State Employment Agency (SEA) Santa Borkovica, while the career consultant Inta Magazniece will inform the professions and educational choices, career planning, job search issues. Young people are invited to explore opportunities for further career development, obtain information on THE SEA website “career services”, CV and vacancy portal, as well as youth guarantee support measures.

Prakse.lv representatives will discuss opportunities in the portal to explore educational institutions and find out how they assess employers (school and study tops), available practices and job vacancies, as well as career magazine “success formula”.

The Ambassador of EPSO to Latvia Maria Abalmasova will be told about career opportunities in the European Union institutions.

The event will also involve experts from the Rural Support Service (LAD) staff who will provide useful information on THE preparation and methods of CVs used in work interviews to check potential employees. It will be possible to find out how to apply FOR THE LAD. The staff part of the Rural Support Service is a member of the Latvian Personnel Management Association.

The compilation OF CVs in accordance with European requirements as well as other relevant Europass documents, such as language passport and diploma attachment, will be reported by representatives of the national Europass Centre.

The Senior Expert of the State Education and Development Agency (VIAA), on the other hand, will advise on the achievements of the new Erasmus + programme, as well as educational opportunities in Latvia and abroad. Young people will also be able to obtain information on information resources (the world of professions, NIID.lv) and organised events, such as a career week.

The Youth International Programme Agency will inform the event of non-formal education, mobility and other opportunities offered BY THE EU Erasmus +: Youth in Action, Eurodesk, European Youth Portal and eTwinning.

Representatives of the youth organisation “Club“ house ”– Youth for a single Europe” will discuss the events of the organisation, the European clubs of Latvian schools and the European volunteering work. The experience of European volunteering will be shared by young people who are taken in Latvia by the club “house” from September of that year to August 2015 - Pauļi from Lithuania and Paula from Germany.
