Youth initiative project “Active tourism day in Feimani”
In the framework of the projects of the Rēzekne municipality in the framework of projects on 27 and 28 May, the association “Centre for the creative initiatives of Eastern Latvia” organised annual tourism day activities. Now the event that has become an annual tradition brought young people from Feimaņu, Bērzgales, Sakstagala, Kaunatas parish, Viļāniem and Rezekne. On Saturday afternoon, from Castille's village, we started our journey along the Jay River - Joseph - Bicana - Categrades - Zolva - and Rushon Lake. In the course of the whole road, looking for water roads and overcome the various obstacles, we discovered a local colorite and a natural beauty. Once again, we felt the importance of a broken team and a helpful friend's shoulder.
As the landscapes changed, we also saw the beautiful and diverse natural world of our municipality that day. It should be noted that there was no change in the usual weather conditions, but otherwise. In the largest island of zolva, a hundred-year-old pine tree, we had a fire. The stories of the Latgale District researcher, Mars Romaka, made many first acquaintance with the origin of the local names, the meaning and role of the surrounding ancient castle and water roads in the ancient times. It should be noted that the island visited by fishermen was not depleted, that is a pleasure, the rest who leave a good and clean environment behind them. After the second boating, while crossing the railway bridge and the beaver dams, the farm “Jānis” was able to rest and enjoy the beautiful views at Rushon Lake. Thank the Mezynski family for the current hospitality, the opportunity to feel the birch broom in the bathroom.
Sunday began with thematic relay, where young people demonstrated the team's work and the enlightenment of the erudition in peak relay, the tent-to-time tent and the burning of the fire. Erudition contest curves, terrain orientation after azimuth, classic arc shooting, were the activities we offered this year. The first three seats of the first three seats were held by teams: 1 st place for the team Oscar Kasper, Oscar Strod, 2 nd place “Fiksiki” - Raivis Spaļs, Vladislavs Karnevskis 3 rd place “crazy seal” - Dainis Skinch, Anita. By the end of the event, both winners and other team members received prizes. Once more, we found out and knew the beauty and wealth of Rēzekne. To meet in the next events!
