Career tests for a smart choice of profession
Approximately 1/5 young people leave studios or change their study direction during the first school year because they understand that the selected area/profession is not suitable for them and they will not be able to realise themselves. There is also enough youth who completes such studies and is then not sufficiently motivated to work in the selected profession. Most young people make a career choice at the end of the 12 th grade, or after the final exams, and only a third of young people are considering their strengths and where they can best be used in the sector or profession. Consequently, the misuse of the profession leads to the addition of unemployed persons. Project “Support” financed by the European Social Fund in cooperation with career and educational portal Prakse.lv and the leading psychologists of Latvia have created a unique six-test complex that will make it possible to determine which profession is the most appropriate for you. These tests will help to identify their abilities, interests and grants as well as the requirements of the profession and the environment. The tests are interconnected, shaped in a visually attractive and realistic form, making the test not only useful but also exciting.
Tests are available in Portal Prakse.lv - in the career tests. The tests can be filled in multiple times! As recommended by the psychologists of the University of Latvia, the test should preferably be completed at least once a year to see the changes and the results of the improvement. A six-test set of:
- Decision-makingwhere you can analyze decision-making in a variety of routine situations, such as the choice of shoes in a shop or the choice of a movie in a cinema, by crystallising the aspects that you are most supported by your decisions and who are most affected by their acceptance.
- Working environment - In this test you can find out what work environment is most appropriate and how you feel comfortable.
- Studiju izvēli – it is one of the most difficult processes, even if you have chosen an area where you want to work. There are very many and different professions that are interconnected and similar but not sufficiently diverse. The test will help determine the correct direction of study.
- Exploration of grants – all spheres – art, sports, physics, mathematics, music, communication and others – are covered here to show where you have the most.
- Health in the profession – each occupation has certain working conditions where an important smell, taste, vision, hearing, physical strength, allergy, and thus can find out which of these are essential in different professions.
- Quality of health: here you can assess the quality of your health and compare with the previous test to determine which profession is the quality of your health.
