For young people

At the beginning of October, THE participants of THE Kaunatas youth centre visited the open door of the National Armed Forces (NBS) in the organized open doorway of the Armed Forces in Kadaga.
The purpose of this trip was to build a new understanding of NBS and to strengthen patriotic.
In the military base, young people were met by the head sergeant Edgars Joksts-Bogdanovs, the head of the land force, who had all gone to know the military base area. The excursion began with a familiar presentation on the structure, tasks, equipment, weapons and cooperation with Latvian society. Chief Sergeant Edgar Joksts-Bogdanov drove them all with his narrative, so the young people listened with interest and asked questions. Following the presentation, an excursion was followed by the military base area.
At first, young people grew up in a hunt where they met the principles of media activity, watching, in reality, how the Asian-based media was built and equipped.
The next subject was a soldier chapel, whose building is designed and equipped with all the necessary soldiers for the development of the spiritual world. The Asian is the only chapel NBS built as a separate building instead of installed in a custom room.
The soldiers were very interesting. It was here that young people could see what order and discipline had to be followed by the soldiers of the Latvian Army, leaving their rooms.
A moment of excitement was a moment, visiting the commemoration of the fallen soldiers. Here, Chief Sergeant Edgar Joksts-Bogdanov told us about the idea of a dead soldier memorial and how it was realized. It turns out that the whole project is being implemented on the basis of donations. The young people, with a moment of silence, honoured the fallen soldiers.
The next inspection facility was an unexploded munitions neutralisation school. Here, young people were introduced to various types of ammunition. The instructor of the unexploded ammunition school explained how mine clearance specialists were working, which neutralizes unexploded ammunition throughout Latvia. Young people listened to the day-to-day advice on what to do if such ammunition was found (unfamiliar objects).
And then it was a long time to see the army arms, the army equipment and the technique. It was possible for young people to keep weapons in their hands, to keep their equipment, to get into the army cars and to go with them.
The excursion was very exciting and interesting. Young people, after excursion, had a positive impression on what national armed forces were. Some young people even expressed their willingness to become the champions of their country after leaving school. Thank you very much to the chief Sergeant Edgar Jokstam-Bogdanov for the detailed and enthusiastic narrative during the excursion.
