Kaunatas parish youth inventory project “fun eaten”

Thanks to the support of the municipality of Rezekne and Kaunatas parish administration, a project for the acquisition of youth inventory was implemented IN THE YOUTH centre “sails” OF Kaunatas parish. The aim of the project was to promote and diversify the opportunities for the effective leisure of YOUNG people OF Kaunatas.

In the youth centre, the pre-purchased inventory is more for sporting activities. In order to attract the attention of young people and to promote useful leisure, something new is needed that will be interested in young people. As part of this project, we wanted to buy a variety of kitchen equipment to promote the basic principles of healthy nutrition among young people, as well as to learn to work independently in the kitchen and to promote table culture. A dedicated room is set up in our youth centre, which is equipped for kitchen purposes. There is a sink, an electric stove, a microwave oven, a refrigerator, but there was no inventory with which to prepare food. With the survey among young people, on the subject you would like to improve at the centre of their youth, young people mentioned that they wanted to “move” the kitchen.

Therefore, a variety of kitchen equipment was purchased within the framework of the project: a set of calves, a pan for baking, an elect. teapot, a mixer, plastic bowls and bottles, trays, rotating boards, dish-drying, oven-furnace pans, tableware, cup kit, cups, sieve kit, rice and knives.

The inventory acquired contributes to the useful leisure of young people and promotes THE activities of THE Kaunatas youth centre. The inventory acquired also contributes to cooperation among young people among themselves and with other youth centres. As well as the youth centre, closer cooperation with parents has emerged. As a result of the project, young people have learned different culinary skills. With a more friendly relationship, a variety of traditions are progressing, for example, on holidays, we are preparing our own food or calling for a specialist who teaches some new skills in the field of culinary culture.
