Kaunatas secondary school team gains 1 st place in competitions “their country patriot”

Due to the anniversary of Latvia's public proclamation, a patriot week is celebrated in Latvia from November 11 to November 18. Within its framework, the National Guard 36. On 16 November 2018, battalion of the Battle Support Battalion organized a patriot weekly competition “the patriot of his country” at the Olympic Centre “Rezekne”. In the cold autumn day, a Kaunatas high school team went to Rēzekne: Armands Pranch, Lauris Abajevs, Maxime Atiechenkov, Rihards Antonov, Vadim Matisans, Christine Marmiwa, Erika's profits, Sanita Kuzminska, and the teacher Maria Mukāne.
Six teams took part in the competition: five of Rezekne City and one of Rezekne's provinces. The teams were allocated maps that marked eight stations. There was a variety of tasks in each station: the topography (working with cards), the grenade, the physical strength tests, the enquiries, the shooting, the recognition of military techniques, the barrier bar where the injured person had to be placed on the stretcher, the car, running on a steep hill and back, the soldier in full, and the soldier's backpack. The tasks were very interesting, all the participants were eagerly, and they filled them.
While the results were collected, the participants could warm up with hot tea. The Kaunatas high school team won 1 st place with a fairly large overweight. The first three places won the cups and medals, the rest of the team. Hopefully there will be more participants who will support and participate in competitions next year!
