Merchants may apply for a bilateral cooperation fund support measure

The Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA) has announced the adoption of applications by 1 September 2014 in the framework of the bilateral cooperation fund support measure under the Norwegian Financial Instrument for the 2009-2014 period programme “innovation in green production”.

In order to promote cooperation between Latvian entrepreneurs with Norwegian businessmen, THE IDA will organise a partnership promotion event in Oslo, Norway in October 2014.
Within the framework of the event, the bilateral relations of Latvia and Norway (donor country) will be encouraged and the bilateral relations of scientific institutions with the aim of ensuring implementation of projects in co-operation with the donor country partner will be encouraged. Project applications, which will be submitted in cooperation with the donor country partner, will receive additional points in the evaluation of the project, which will provide greater opportunities for support under the programme.
Entrepreneurs who intend to take part in the programme “Support for the introduction of green technologies in production” in the 2 nd round are invited to apply for the event.

• A merchant registered in the Republic of Latvia which complies with the status of a small (micro), small, medium-sized merchant or a large merchant;
• A merchant registered in the Republic of Latvia, of which one of the founders or the sole founder is a scientific institution registered in the Republic of Latvia, registered in the register of scientific institutions.

Travel costs are compensated for 100% (maximum cost per person is 1500 EUR) and is included de minimis in support. Following a bilateral cooperation measure, a unilateral or bilateral letter of intent, together with a request for payment, must be submitted.
