For young people

On 27 March, the European Commission's representations in Latvia and the Europe Direct Information Centre in Eastern Latgale organised “a lot of happiness, Europe” laureates - young people from Rezekne Municipality, LOBS and Ludza City Gymnasium pupils - went to excursion to the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia and Latvian television, as well as participated in a concert on honour of the 60-year anniversary of the European Union.

The day started with an excursion in the Saeima, where students learned more about the history of the 11 th House of Jacob, the daily and working obligations of Members, and the process of making laws in our country. In the Red Hall of the Saeima, young people looked at the large candle made in the shape of the Australian tree, which was crowned by Latvian 19-historic counties. As the driver of the excursion told him, the candle-white candles burned twice a year, on 4 May and 18 November. It should be noted that the European Union's sixty-year celebration has also entered the Saeima, as the exhibition on the road from the Treaty of Rome and the establishment of the European Union to the present day is currently being seen in the lobby of the building.

After the visit of the Saeima, the group went to Latvia's television, where the main operator of the “panoramic”, Ivan Milov, told about the day of the television, showed TV studios where the broadcasts such as “banned technique”, “sports studio” and “Latvian heart song”, as well as with the news Narrator, Vonda, discovered the scenes of the television news service. After the excursion, the pupils went to the largest television studio in which the “lucky, Europe” record was held. The concert was a journey through the various countries of the European Union, where the viewers were able to familiarise themselves with the best writers or poets of each country, as well as musical musical works that were singing, dancing and playing musicians: Maria Naumova, Daumants Kalniņš, the group “Latvian Voices”, “Raxta Raxti”, the guitarist Aivars Hermanis, Martin Zemitis, Marcis Auzins and other well-known musicians in Latvia. As the pupils acknowledged, in a concert, with great delight, they both watched the music stars and survived the film itself - the directions of the director Dita Torsteres, the presence of the cameras, the filming of songs for various technical reasons, and much more that the television screen was not meant to see.

The glorious concert “a lot of happiness, Europe” for television viewers will be released on April 22. 21.20 Latvian television channel 1.
