THE competition “today in countryside” wins Nautrēnu small pulp

Rezekne is led BY Nautrēnu in a small group of classes and Ieva Apšincce from the Individual Assessment of Preiles has become the winners of this year's Latvian National Consultation and Education Centre (LLCC).
The second place in the category “class and collective group” was taken by the High School of Zasa from Jçkabpils District, while the third – Kuldīga municipality is the primary school of Turlava.
In the group of individually startled pupils, the second place for Elinai Rozena from Jelgava, and the third for Sandai Augustov from Ciblas.
Elīna oak, head of THE LLCC Rural Development Unit: “It is already common for students of the outermost regions of Latvia. The characteristic feature of that year – the winners could find out only at the end of the competition – because the difference between the points was very minimum throughout the year. It is delighted that this time, much more participants honoured all – from April to September – an open competition with six major tasks in agriculture, fisheries and forestry!”
The final of the competition was held at the Tērvete Nature Park and the young people from Latvia, a total of 159 pupils and their teachers had arrived. In total, 350 participants participated in the competition this year – 32 individual participants, 27 classes, as well as 27 teachers.
The prize foundation is keenly delighted – the winning class in the prize earns an excursion of 1000 euros, while 2 nd and 3 rd place winners receive a promotion prize worth 100 euros per year. Individual participants in the competition will receive a tablet in a gift.
Let us recall that in the 2018 competition, the main prize was received by Class 8a of Prieku Secondary School, but in individual assessment – Malienas pupils Evelina clover.

The competition “today in the countryside” is organised with the support of THE LR Ministry of Agriculture and the National Rural Network. The aim of the competition and social networks is to inform, educate and entertain young people of the school age on the agricultural, forestry and fisheries sectors, to provide them with awareness of the activities of the sectors, opportunities and challenges in Latvian countryside and future education and career opportunities.
