Contest “pulse eim, pulse theatre”
As every year, this year, also, March has gone on to draw an intangible cultural heritage and inheritance programme “Collect eim, pulse teku”. Several competitions have been concluded: the traditional dance competition of North Latgale “vedam danci”, the traditional singing competition “song song, what it was” and the traditional musical competition “Klaberjakte”.
Together they gathered more than 180 participants from various North Latgale sites – Ciblas Secondary Schools, Primary 1 st Primary Schools of Preiles, Prefecture State Gymnia, Viļānu High School, Androupene primary school, Nirzas elementary school, Newcastle House, Ludza City Council, Maltas Secondary School of Secondary School, Rēzekne ARPC “Zeimuļs”, Ilzeskalna pre-school education institutions, Gaigalavas primary schools, Rēzna elementary school, Kaunatas secondary school, and Lucia Ranāne McKashan High School.
The pupils showed their skill of traditional dances, toddles, pairs of dances, fraudulent dances, which express their traditions and peculiarities, singing and dancing, singing skills rooted in local traditions, as well as the use of People's musical instruments in the promotion of traditional skills in the individual musicisation of folklore communities and the activities of chapels.
At the end of the competition, pupils received titles: small, large or largest singers, dancers, musicians. On 22 April, the highest titles of the titles would go to the final in Riga, where they would represent their municipality. The Rēzekne District Final will represent participants from THE Gaigalavas primary school folklore set “Purineņš”, THE Kaunatas secondary school folklore set “Raznavina”, the position of Lucia Rananes McKashan in the upper-school folklore set “Couseite”, Maltas secondary school folklore set, Ilzeskalna pre-school educational institutions folklore set “Dancaris”, Maltas secondary school head school folklore set “Liepiņa” and the “Uobuleians” of the Rēzna elementary school folklore.
