Lāčplēsis's Day since November 11, 1920 has become a memorial day of all the violent heroes of Latvia. Students, together with teachers, are actively participating in events organised by patriotism.
IN Sakstagala John's primary school is a beautiful and good tradition of honouring Lāčplēsis Order's cavalry, Joseph Kaļva, who returns to the graves of his backs. Also this year, the 9 th grade pupils went to the graves of their children together with their educators. There is a memorial plate for freedom fighter. The children lit candles and torches, the history teacher Inta Decsne told about the ancient events of November 1919, remembered Joseph Kaļva's fate, the heroic struggle at Riga, repression and death during the Soviet occupation, in 1941, in the far Kirov area. This year, a Kantinieku parish cultural worker is joined by Tutin. The pupils honored the memory of the hero with a moment of silence, scandalous lines of poetry, and all the Latvian freedom fighters gave the song “two mud in the air.”
Returning to school, a patriotic hour took place during the festival. Together with the history teacher, each class had the opportunity to talk about the events of Latvia's history and to participate in the discussion on patriotism today. At the end of the lesson each pupil made a red-white ribbon, pinching it to his chest to demonstrate his love and confidence in the country.
“The sense of belonging to your land, people, country starts with the home, with home where we are born, where we are familiar with the beauty of the native side, where we observe the day of the work of rural people. To love your home, we learn to love the whole of Latvia '- we will expect a national anniversary.
