The people of Latgale are invited to participate in discussions on a folk society
The people of Latgale have the opportunity to participate in the development of Latvian policy, drawing up the guidelines of a combined society together with the Ministry of Culture. With the participation of Latgale in discussions, you can express your views and encourage your proposals to solve problems. The guidelines will determine which public processes will be created in Latvia after 2021.
Join and form the new policy, too!
A document relevant to the society of Latvia will be drawn up in 2019 and 2020 – the guidelines of a combined society (formerly known as national identity, civil society and integration policy guidelines or NIPSIP).
There is no need to be a head of the institution or a Member of the municipality in order to express his thoughts and opinions on the cohesion of the various groups of society in Latvia. Every citizen of Latgale, regardless of age, gender, nationality and citizenship, is invited to participate in any of the regional discussions:
- On October 16, in Rezekne, the cultural house of the Rēzekne City National Society, at 11.00;
- 17 October in Daugavpils, Latvian cultural centre, at 12.00.
The number of places is limited, so we invite you to log in in time to write HERE by 14 October. Regional discussions will also be held in other regions with responsibility for regional non-governmental organisations.
During each discussion, the problem solutions and other proposals will be collected and transferred to the Ministry of Culture for the development of the guidelines. This is your chance to participate in the formation of a frozen society!
