Latgale tourism offer was promoted to German tourists at the exhibition in Munich

From 20-25 February in the international tourism exhibition “F. re.e 2018” in the German city of Munich, the tourism offer of Latgale Latgale was popularised by the spokesperson of Latgale tourism association “Ezerland”, along with German southeast Ebden Reisen, who sold Baltic country trips to the German market since 1992.
This year, the Latvian National Stand, with the slogan “Magnetic Latvia” (“Magnetic Latvia”) and the Latvian centenary logo for travel to Latgale, was invited by a representative of Ludza District And Nils Ebden from the Ebden Reisen tournament, who met Latgale tourism offer last spring and prepared an exciting trip along Latgale, including it in his new travel catalogue. The visitors of the exhibition were most interested in the opportunities for the travel of Baltic countries as a whole, but there were often specific questions about Latgale region - the most popular viewing sites, cycling routes, fishing opportunities, accommodation sites and cultural heritage. It should be said that half of the interested parties seemed to have an offer to organize their journey, both the accommodation, the accommodation and the events of the events and the recommended viewing sites. A large part of the questioners were tourists who owned their own camp, and they wondered how to get to Latgale, where to stop with their car, where they would be better to travel.
In comparison with previous years, a pleasant surprise was that almost all the visitors of the exhibition knew who Latvia and a large part shared with the mixed memories of previous trips in our land, many in conversation said that they had already been in Riga and Sigulda, now wants to return to Latvia again, but already know the region's offer, including Latgale and border. Many said that they had planned a circular trip with their car from Vilnius, along the border to the northern Jurmala of Estonia, and along the Baltic Sea coast to go home for a trip for 2-4 weeks, these visitors were happy to see the maps of the region and the printed materials. The main travel transport of German tourists is still a kemper, but many are planning to go to an organised group excursion or individually via a flight and rent a car, so that the Ebden Reisen travel catalogue was requested. However, this year, there was a strong tendency to use Internet resources, by picking maps or slightly informative pages from the exhibition, with internet addresses, no longer the thick coloured booklets, pleasant to get a fancy from Latgale.
Tourism fairs “F. re.e 2018” are the largest tourism exhibition of South Germany, which attracted a record number of visitors - 135.000 visitors this year, most of which were viewed as excellent or very good. This was mainly due to the enormous interest of visitors in recreational and travel, as well as the wide range of weekend events found in parallel with the medicines of Cemper and equipment, transport, cycling, watercourses, hiking, beauty and health, various outdoor activities. In total, 1 300 participants from 70 countries offered their services by providing the exhibition participants with individual and personal consultations in the field of recreational and travel, of which more than 150 participants from 70 brands demonstrated a wide range of transport and equipment and accessories for future vacations. The visitors of the exhibition were mostly middle-aged people, including families with children, they select their trips and plan with great care for a number of years, so the exact information and personal approach are particularly assessed.
