Latvian young people from around the world will gather in Latgale

The grain fields will begin to grow slowly, when Latvian young people from around the world will gather on the shore of Daugavpils municipality, in order to discuss collectively on topical public political topics, create new ideas in culture, business, politics, develop critical thinking, calm rotas, and explore the history of Latgale.
Imants Ziedonis has said that no bridge leads to a man, people can only go through the reflections. Therefore, we will also see THE REFLECTIONS of Latgale 2 x 2 seminar in this summer. It is said that Latgale sees a jump and swallows two sun-one heaven at the edge of the sky, the other in the lake reflection. 2 x 2 is a place where business will be multiplied and new ideas arise.
Latgale 2 x 2 seminar programme will be saturated with active and creative lectures, debates and creative work conducted by professionals from different sectors.
Each day the participants will gain knowledge in directions and projects. The first part of the day will be spent in one of the directions chosen - self-awareness, how to think critically and preserve friends, Latvian society today and tomorrow, modern Latvian language, vasals in Latgale or live Latgale, history for Latgale eyes. The second part of the day will be spent in one of the selected projects - Rotkalaana, active rest in Latgale nature, modern Latvian kitchen, theatre, craft project, journalism, animation, as well as Latgale folklore.
The participants will be given the opportunity to familiarise themselves with Latgale culture history of the band Erika Zepa and the group “Dabasu Durovys”, under the direction of the musician and public employee Arnis Slobogenin. We will discuss migration and integration issues with the Research Agnes.
We're going to get along with Seffok Mars Janson, the rotas with Whitaut Straupe. With Daini Mjartan, we'll get to know Latgale's most susceptible people.
In the evenings, young people will have the opportunity to show their talents, to explore other young people, to discuss issues important to Latvia, to sing and depress Latvian songs and dances. One day will be dedicated to the introduction of Latgale, during which we will go out to see the most beautiful places, cultural history objects, and meet local entrepreneurs and other inspiring people.
The “2 x 2” camp was created in the sixties of the last century, and the people of exile were gathered in North America. The goal was to strengthen Latvians among young people born and raised outside Latvia. Since the summer of 2015, “2 x 2” is also taking place in Latvia, continuing the tradition of fifty years, combining Latvian young people in Latvia and outside Latvia. As guest speakers and presidents in 2 x 2 camps, they have participated in public-known persons Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga, Krišjannis Kariņš, Dace Melbarde, Janis Skutelis, Raimonds Graube, Janis Domburs, Zane Peneze, Janis Bergs, etc.
The camp will be held from July 26 to August 2 in the “Virogna” recreational base. Latvian young people living in Latvia and Latvia are invited to sign up for 18-30 years, writing to info@2x2pasaule.lv or by completing the questionnaire 2x2pasaule.lv. There is an opportunity for participants to get a scholarship. Latvian young people from THE USA, England, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Brazil, Sweden and Latvia are currently logged in.
