EU Vice-President Maroš Šefčovičs will arrive at Latvia

The Vice-President of the European Commission, Maroš Šefčovičs, will arrive at Riga on Thursday, February 1. During the visit, Šefčovičs will meet with Prime Minister Mars Kučinskis, Minister of Economics Arville Ašaden, Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs, Finance Minister Danu Reizani-oak, as well as participate in the meeting of the Saeima European Commission.
On Friday, February 2, VICE-President Šefčovičs will participate in in the debate on the future of THE EU, looking at the objectives and challenges of the European energy Union.  The debate on the future of THE EU is happening throughout Europe and aims at strengthening the links with society and listening to its views on the future of Europe and other topical issues ON THE agenda OF THE EU. Discussion from at 11.00 – 12.15 can also be seen online at www.esmaja.lv or EC representation in Latvia on Facebook www.facebook.com/EiropasKomisija.
