On 3 January, a final festival event was held in Rēzekne in Rēzekne, which was dedicated to the newest group students of the Latvian jiu-jitsu Federation from Rezekne and Maltas. The event took place with the help of sports clubs “OPTIMISTS-R” and “ENERGY-V”.

The traditional practice went into a friendly atmosphere with a sense of festival. After training, everyone had a chance to go to the pool. The children made a lot of colourful and positive emotions in the light blue water. After three hours of training, all the participants were waiting, sweets and little surprises from Christmas. Everyone enjoyed joy and fun, realizing that the hard work of self-improvement, done every week during training, allows not only to become stronger, to improve themselves, but also to make friends and to spend time together.

Last year, the Rēzekne jiu-jitsu Federation club had achievements and events. Gold, silver and bronze medals were obtained at various levels. In events organised by both Latvian Jews and other fighting federations, many of our club athletes had the opportunity to improve their knowledge and raise the level of qualification.

I would like to wish our club members a spirit of harmony and physical perfection, strength and confidence, full of achievements in 2015!

Latvian jiu-jitsu Federation instructor, 5 dans (kiosi) Viktor Kostin
