Latgale pearls also in Latvia

73 stories of the unique, characteristic, valuable Latvian nowadays from ancient to today are summarised in the illustrated book “The treasure of Latvia's Municipalities”, which came out at the beginning of that year. The book was published by the “rural newspaper”, in collaboration with municipalities, which not only financially supported the success of the edition, but also searched for each of their special, unique relatives to tell the others.

The book compiler Ilze Boomane, the opening festival held at the Latvian National Museum of History, emphasized that it was not easy to find one, the most precious one that would most accurately match the cultural heritage of each of them, so it was recommended that this time leave the nobles, castles and other important structures, but to focus on things and objects with their story, excellent people, events that have created Latvia's history from nearly 100 years. It also succeeded, as the pages of the book show unique stories - about Professor John Stradins's briefcase from the Viesīte municipality, on the exportation of the bishop Kazimir Duļbinska - altar from Vilaka municipality, a hat characteristic of Jaunpiebalgai – the gardener and many others. It is noteworthy that the first of the local governments has called for the further eastern municipality – Zilupe.

The book, thinking about the approaching centuries of Latvia, and therefore the writer and member of the Book Revision, Anna Žigure, called it the only non-repeatable Latvia built for joint forces, a piece along a piece. “But a new accent has been found in this edition – bearing in mind the testimony of the selected history of the municipality, with its value and the message to the reader in the absence of the presence of the history of Latvia, which is characterised by places, cases, people throughout the territory of the country. This allows both to get acquainted with the values of the municipality and to ensure that every municipality of Latvia is an integral and indispensable part of Latvia's history,” – a member of the other redcollege, Deputy Director of the Latvian National History Museum in the scientific work Irina Zeibarte, is recognised as a member of the book.

Almost all Latgale municipality, the municipality of Rēzekne, the special treasure of three podiers – Peter Ushpeal, Leonard Wincevich and Peter Kice, with firefighters and the cover of the book, have given their irreproducible artery to the book “Latvian Municipality treasure”. It was not easy for us to settle for one particular treasure, but the preference was given to Latgale ceramics, as the municipality of Rezekne is currently the centre of Latgale ceramics. “Ontans and Anne” author Anita Latgola.lv (Danskovte) was also present at the presentation of the book. Unique is the diary of Albert owl, a member of the Albert owl of the Tilge National Partisans, in which the award was offered. Ciblas Municipality is a treasure by master Salimon Kipļuk. An interesting story about the photograph of Latgale first awakening employee, doctor and literate Anton Skrindas (1881 –1918) was written by Anna Lazdāne, head of the Latvian Museum of Skrindu, from Daugavpils municipality. Many people know that the permit in 1753 to issue the first book in Latgalian language, the Bible translation “Evangelia Toto anno”, was received in the Ambassador's Friends, so it is regarded as a treasure by the municipality of Dagda. What if not Italian painter Filipo Kastaldi's unique fresco St. Ludwig in Roman Catholic Church, could be a Relikvy of Kraslava District! Although the Livani glass factory is no longer working since 2008, Livani glass products are still the treasure of Livans. The ancient reluctance comes from Ludza municipality -- the 12 th - 13 th centuries - a horse found in Kivt's hood. The municipality of Preiles is joining the luxurious fragment of the grave of the Count Joseph Heinriha Borha Maltas, found in the tomb of Preiles Manor (18-19 th century). Unique is the story of the blacksmith of the Latgale star of the Freedom Monument, which comes from the stubble. I mentioned about the wave of waves, bishop Kazimir Duļbinsky, in Mordovia, the altar. The book is a story of the Holy Miracle of Passport -- iu. Dominica Roman Catholic Church, an Eastern European baroque pearl in the Zilupes municipality.

The book makers confirmed the willingness to continue with the preparation of new editions, which would collect stories about the values of the municipality, the ancient posts, the native fate.
