LEARN – a foundation for the development of rural economy in Rezekne municipality

With the aim of promoting economic activity and taking care of reducing unemployment in the territory of Rezekne, the municipality of 25 parish and the municipality of Rezekne established a foundation “for the development of rural economy in Rezekne municipality” (LEARN).
The purpose of the foundation is to promote the development of entrepreneurship in cooperation with other legal persons, supporting micro-enterprises registered and operated in Rezekne and self-employed natural persons who operate or commence entrepreneurship in the territory of Rezekne District.
The “LEARN” foundation is intended to provide the following projects:
• support to a natural person when he is established in the territory of the municipality;
• support for the start-up of cooperatives in the municipality;
support for the participation of local craftsmen, domestic producers in exhibitions, promotional materials;
support for the training of local product design (design) etc. for craftsmen, domestic producers.
The financing of the “LEARN” foundation will be awarded by tender. All information on competition – by-laws, evaluation criteria – will be available on the website of Rezekne municipality. Follow the information!
