On 11 November of the Rēzekne municipality, a conference on “The contribution of Staņislava Kambalas to Latgale historic processes” will be held on 11 November, devoted to excellent personality in Latgale history -- a public employee, Latgale merger Congress member, Staņislav Kambalam (1893-1941).
The conference with reports will involve a familiar historian: Dr. hist. Walter Scherbinski (Latvian politics of Latgale and interwar), Dr hist. Vladislavs Malahovskis (Land issue in Latgale), Dr hist. Inese Runce (Latgale issue in the political diskusijās at the beginning of 20.gs), cartography Andra Zubko - Melne (local names in the context of territorial reforms), literates: Dr philol. Valentin Lukasevich (marginal story of Staņislava Kambalu), writer Inga Abel (language role in culture), writer Sandra Water and writer translator Yuan Ryuchan (Almighty i Attorious Timbalys i F. Kempa biographer).
The aim of the conference is to promote awareness of the history of Latgale and its personalities, cultural and economic activities in Latgale in the context of the history of THE XX centuries, as well as to find an insight into the process of development of Latvia and its reflection in today.
Stanislav Kambala he was born IN Rēzekne District Bērzgales parish in Stapuļi (now Rēzekne municipality, Lendžu civil parish). Work in areas of concern, both cultural, educational, political and financial, as well as the military. St. Kambala has been a member of Latgale merger Congress, in history he has entered as the only representative of Latgale at the Latvian Republic's proclamation meeting in Riga, 18 November 1918. He received the Order OF the three Star IV of Latvia for his merits.
The project is implemented with financial support from the Latgale Region Development Agency, the State Culture Capital Foundation, A/S Latvian State Forests and the municipality of Rezekne. A broad range of stakeholders are invited to the conference -- school young people, students, all interested in Latgale history.
