When the school's first half-year is a finish, it is time to go on a trip. The 6 th grade school students at the project “school bag '' took a trip to Daugavpils Spelling Factory to find out, find out, see something new.
Daugavpils Spelling Factory is the only tourist-opened ammunition manufacturing plant in Baltics, in which the oldest, still-working sand-casting tower is located in Europe. The guide was very interesting about the history of the factory. The pupils learned that the most important part of the production today is sports and hunting ammunition – bullets, cartridges for smooth-barrel weapons and bullets for pneumatic weapons. We had a very good chance to feel an irreproducible industrial atmosphere of the 19 th century in the historic production shop. As students do not yet receive physics and chemistry, it is quite difficult for them to understand what is happening here. The gid's full narrative and video films gave the pupils answers to many questions of interest.
After the excursion, the pupils wrote feedback on what they had seen. That is what the pupils themselves say:
Maximilian: I liked the tower most. It's high. Below it is a 19 m deep-extinguishing tree.
Viktorija: I was best liked by the fact that we were allowed to shoot.
Violet: I enjoyed watching the film about the production of lead smells, casting processes and cartridges.
Arthur: I liked the guide best. It was very interesting!
Kristaps: I was in this factory for the second time. I liked it very much. I like that there is a lot of processes under the laws of physics.
When they drove home, the pupils discussed what they had seen in the bus. The emotion and the impression were very much!

Along with pupils, the excursion was a primary school teacher
