Education

When May smells of May, there is a different mood and unusual activity in schools. Larger and smaller students go to visit Latvia. Also, students of classroom 5-7 of the main school, in the course of the project “school bag '' at the early morning of May 14, together with the educators, went on their way to Riga.
The first object of our survey was the Latvian National Library. Many pupils saw such a grandiose building for the first time! The guide told me about the location of the building, the many readers and the library foundation. The students listened with interest to the architect of the library, Gunar Birkert. The pupils had a broad idea of the building. They also learned how to become a library reader.
Then we went to visit a recreational craft, “Old Riga.” although time was windy, it did not prevent students from enjoying the journey and looking at Old Riga's most prominent buildings.
After that trip, we went to Paula Stradins's medical history museum. In that schoolgirl, she met her medical history from the beginning to the present day. In this museum, students had many questions of interest. The acquired knowledge of pupils will be useful in history and biology lessons.
The last object of the survey was THE botanical garden OF LU. Especially the pupils liked the multicoloured rododenders and the lovely butterflies in the tropical house. Every student wanted a butterfly on his hand. Here, the pupils expanded their vision, listening to the gift narration and performing tasks.
Late in the evening, all tired and impressive returned to Rēzekne. Thank the driver Fang for patience and strength.

A sunny summer cool,
Lithuanian primary school teacher Inese Kokorevich and Maria Golubcova
