12 new Computer Kits delivered to liepu and Rikavas primary schools
At the end of the school informatisation project in Rezekne District, project coordinator Eduards Medvedev says that there is a lack of work stations and multimedia study equipment in schools: “After new developments in THE world, it is necessary to update THE technical base at least every three years, as world information technologies are developing very rapidly and the school is, of course, unable to provide a modern workstation for each pupil individually, however the information project is a large and useful contribution to the school's computer-class and multimedia study equipment, which will provide and complement children'S knowledge. This is a second-like project, since it was a project of modernising natural sciences, so students will better understand that IT is not just computer games, but by properly applying it helps people to achieve the highest results in any profession. It will be reminded that new pupils and teacher computer assemblies are equipped with measuring and testing sensors, as well as multimedial and interactive software that provides opportunities for filming, displaying and creating interactive hours and experiments as well as laboratory work. I believe that the knowledge of the base that children receive at school is also very important in the choice of the future profession, as well as the development of innovative ideas and science throughout Latvia and beyond.”
The costs of the project “Rēzekne Municipal Education Authorities” (No 2010/0010/3D/3 .2 .2 .1 .2/09/IPIA/VIAA/605) were covered by the European Regional Development Fund. The total budget for the information project is 100507,99LVL (with VAT), of which LVL 90641,85 is the eligible costs.
