Sunday, May 13, at 15.00 Lūznavas in the manor is the Latvian famous cockpit masters, the ethnousicologist Laima Jansson and the band's “runns” spring concert “SilThanks”, twisting both already known and new peoples' songs.
The leader of the Rēzekne group “ores” is the conductor Janis Mežinskis, the band, in the spring of 2016, experienced exactly Lūznavas in the manor, so “runns” will be very happy to meet the audience again in the red hall of the manor. The group's repertoire is based on their views on Latvians and Latvian folk songs, as well as the touch of world music and the twisting of the Dins in original melodies. In two years, the group “ores” has appeared in many of the events of Rezekne and Rezekne, which have been mentioned in the Latgalian cultural year “Boņuks”.
Laima Janson is a well-known Kokler in Latvia and beyond, who combines the sounds of ethnographic and electric trees in his music, attaching great importance to improvisation. Janson began his professional career in 2011. Since then, the musician regularly enters both Latvia and abroad in Western Europe and Northern Europe, Japan, Australia, etc. “Sinfonietta Riga”, Latvian radio choir, etnodjaz trio “Zarbugans”, Raimonds Paulos etc. In 2011, Janson became the first Latvian musician to win the largest and most influential world music WOMEX in the Official programmā. In 2014, Laima was nominated for a major music award in 2013 category “young artist”.
The group “ores” and Laima Janson will not meet for the first time in the forthcoming concert programme – at the end of last year exactly Lūznavas in the manor “ores” was musicized along with the association of Lima-led coclers “Austras koks”, but the match with happiness as a brilliant solo artist will be enjoyed for the first time. The “Silver” concert programme, which sounds both known and new songs of peoples, consists predominantly of musical instruments, which the group associates with the souls of the souls, the divine strangers, and especially the spring awakening not only in nature but also in the soul.
