Lūznavas Manor will take place in traditional European cultural heritage days

Traditionally, the beginning of September in Latvia is the time of European Heritage Days, which focuses on the protection of monuments – the diversity of protected monuments, the identification of values, preservation, as well as cultural heritage as a resource for sustainable development. The European Year of Cultural Heritage 2017 will be held from 8 to 10 September and, on 10 September, THE diversity of cultural heritage will also be celebrated BY Lūznavas manor on 10 September.
This year's European Heritage Day programme calls for the opening of places that report the events of various times in the territory of Latvia: evidence of the arrival of the first population in the territory of Latvia in the camps of the Dviete stone age, the castles and the ornament palace, the significant developments, as the Battle of Durbes, the 1917 battle against the small Juglas, the 1863 Polish uprising in Vilaka Manor, the activities of the Central Council of Latvia in Ventspils. The events will be able to explore the inheritance of a considerable personality, which inspires today – in Turaida, the anniversary of the death of Kaupo, the contributions of the Borhu family, will be able to follow the story of Raina and Aspazia, the 140 th anniversary of Andrew Upiris, in the Scripts, while the Asian Lakes Castle will remember the formation of its reconstruction and the contribution of the archaeologist John's apala. The events will also take place in major places such as the Rinkēvičs' Meeting House, the Adam steel-led Valka Latvian teacher seminar building, Academia Petrina building in Jelgava, Cēsis District School, Salaspils memorial.
IN Lūznavas, the events of the European Heritage Day 2017, which will be completed by the historic story of the estate on 10 September, will begin at: 15.00 with an educational excursion about the exhibition and its park, 16.00 will continue with the opening of the exhibition of the French ceramic Anny Bouchut, 17.00 every interested party is invited to engage in creative workshops, painting portraits, making modern accessories with the musical footsteps of the Jews and going into the sneezing workshop, 18.00 will have the opportunity to watch the film about the Lithuanian composer and artist Mikali Konstantina Churlini “letters to Sofia”, and 20.00 will be the first performance of the music, light and live pictures. In particular, the European Heritage Days on the honour of the artist and his creative searches will be attended by the actor Edgars Lipors, the Rēzekne municipality's vocal studio “Skonai”, the mixed choir of the Rēzekne Technology Academy, “Sonitum”, the youth dance set “Dziga”, the deputy idea author, THE Lūznavas Manor cultural project manager Inga Drele, Director Lila Kirmuska, the movement consultant Lilly Lipora, the light director Egils Kupch. Last year, special cultural heritage days saw light, musical and dance performance in “Lūznavas reflection”, which was once again seen in the festival “Environmental dance” at the beginning of August.
The European Heritage Days are a thematic programme of cultural events designed by the owners of heritage sites, enthusiasts and specialists, aimed at bringing people closer to cultural heritage by raising awareness of the protection of monuments – the diversity of protected monuments, the identification of values, preservation, as well as cultural heritage as a resource for sustainable development. They have started in 1984 in France as open-door historic monuments and have become a joint initiative of the Council of Europe and the European Commission since 1999, involving 50 countries that have acceded to the European cultural convention.
The entry at all events of the European Heritage Days AT Lūznavas at Manor is free of charge. The “wake-up dream of Loznava” is supported by the State Culture Capital Foundation in the target programme “Latvia-100”.
