Lūznavas on the concert programme “unprecedented” calls on Igo and Janis Strazds

On Sunday, 17 September, 15.00 Lūznavas in the red hall of the manor was first heard in the concert programme of the singer Igo and composer Jānis Strezda. Prior to the concert, any interested party is expected to attend the opening of the Igo graphic work and the exhibition of the artist Esmeraldas Puramic.
FOR Lūznavas manor and Igo, this will not be the first time of meeting – in December last year the singer was musical with Aivars Herman, but this time will be the musical collaboration of Igo and the composer and pianist John Jānis. In the concert program, alongside the songs co-written by the two artists with the words of Igo and the music of Jānis Strezda, “we go” and others will also hear songs from the Igo “gold repertoire”.
Before the concert AT Lūznavas, an exhibition of Igo and ceramic Esmeraldas Purdives will be discovered, which will be shared by both artists directly with the same – with an unprecedented meeting and a surprise story. The exhibition will look at the graphic works created by Igo in colographic technique, as well as the carving of wood, while Esmerald Purine, who is a designer with ceramic education and works in porcelain casting and swinging technique, will participate in the exhibition with a collection of porcelain receptacles created by inspiring Latvian ethnographic dish forms. A graphic drawing language has also been created in collaboration with graphic designer ZAHARUze.
Igo (Rodrigo Fomins) is a Latvian singer born in Liepaja. Igo became one of the most popular musicians in Latvia in the 80 s when he sang in the groups “Bay”, “Remix” and “Liepaja Quartet”. The musician worked with Latvia's most prominent composers - Raimonds Paula, Imanta Kalniņa, Zigmaru Liepiņš and others. After obtaining a Grand Prix IN THE USSR's new singer competition “Jurmala 86”, in the early 1990 s, Igo started a successful solo career. Lāčplēsis and Kwazimodo Zigmara Liepiņa “Cathedral of Paris”. Recorded several tens of successful solo albums, participated in both television and radio broadcasts, releasing their own poems, creating conceptual concert programmes, organizing cultural events, talks and charity concerts in Jurkalne, Kuldīga and elsewhere for many years. The familiar musician has expanded his creative activity to visual art.
Jānis Strazds is a composer, pianist, artist and producer born in Liepāja. Obtained a bachelor degree IN THE specialties of THE Latvian Museum of Musical Academy and musical theory. In 2001, with the singer Andri Egli, he founded the group “Berm” in Liepāja's music secondary school, which acquired 1 st place in the festival “Liepaja Dzintars” (2003). Following the action in the group cacao, the band's album was released in 2007, whose title track was the most played song of 2007. He wrote songs for Andris Eglim, Normundam Rutulim, Kerēvia, Ugim Rounder, and others, and also wrote songs for Igo, with which a cycle of “fire” was created in 2010. In parallel, he also works in the field of academic music, writes symphonic music, chamber music and also Cora music, designing arancies for the Symphonic Orchestra and choirs in ambitious projects, writing music for theatre shows.
Esmeralda Purine is a designer with a ceramic education (a bachelor degree in the Latvian Art Academy, a ̌ branch of the design nodal ̧) and a masters degree visually (Li plastic) in the ̧ of a ceramic sub-̌ sector (a sector), whose works are composed in porcelain casting and boring technique. The love of the forms has begun in an early childhood, it has always been a game, as a pleasant act, later becoming a form of expression and meditation, without which it is hard to imagine. The inspiration of her works is the nature of nature, its perfection, the diversity of forms, the ability to adapt, change and transform. Esmeralda is the founder of the brand “ESSE Ceramics”, author and product designer, but this year the artist has created a ceramic workshop/study “coast ceramics” in Riga, where the newly formed ceramic projects are currently being developed.
The opening event of the exhibition is free of charge, but tickets to the pre-sale of concerts are to be held in “ticket paradise” in cash or on the Internet, a price of 11,00-15,00 €, the number of places limited.
