Establishment of InLine hockey area

A wonderful project – the construction of the InLine hockey area – was launched in the secondary school of Lucia Rananes McKashan.
In the course of the project, it is planned to create a unique public sports infrastructure object - InLine hockey area - InLine hockey area and purchase equipment for InLine hockey.
In Latvia InLine hockey areas with special coverage of this sport are located in Olaine, Jelgava, Riga and Jurmala. There are many hockey areas in Latgale where the hockey is one - maximum two months per year, while the area would be “active” for at least 6 months per year.
This area cover (Stilmat Outdoor InLine) can be handled by any sport, but the primary cover is intended for skating skating and InLine hockey: in winter conditions it is used as a standard hockey area where players move with skates, under conditions where the ice cover is not, players are parked by roller skates. The area is also applicable to other sports activities and sports: roller skating, handball, florbic, etc.
The area is suitable and can also be covered by people in wheelchair. Inline hockey can be played by children and adults, people with hereditary or acquired disabilities. It is more humane than the usual ice hockey, because there are less power games here, and in terms of cost it is much cheaper than ice hockey, so much more accessible to all.
The InLine hockey is more popular in the world than ice hockey because it is not necessary to maintain and freeze ice. It is planned that the area will be used not only by the people of McKashan but also BY THE residents of Vērēmu parish, the school sports hours of Rezekne.
Within the framework of the project it is intended to create a 40 x 20 m InLine area (land alignment, plot of base, special parcel, area marking); install the side and gates of the InLine area.
At a certain time, the InLine area will be able to be used by families with children, etc., both to play InLine hockey and other activities (e.g. roller skating or skating).
The realization of the project will enable the range of sports activities to be expanded, both for schools and for every citizen, to promote the involvement of citizens in physical activities, health promotion activities, useful time spending for children and young people.
On the opportunity to implement this idea thanks to the LR Saeima deputy Edward Smiltens, who encouraged to grant a state grant of EUR 20000 to L.Rananes McKashan office for the construction of the secondary school sports area. Other financing: Rural Development Programme of the European Union Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) 2014-2020 – 25152,52, Vērēmu parish administration: 2794.73.
We look forward to a great result.
