The quiet footsteps of the art “beacon”

On the summer weekend of the winter and spring meeting, four artist from Latgale spent the summer weekend in the centre of water development. Vēsma Ušmouse (Maltas parish Garkalni), Ilze Griezāne (Livani), vija Stupāne (Preilu municipality, Castile) and agra Ritina (Rezekne). They are all connected by a joint school – the Rēzekne Arts and Design Secondary School and THE LMA Latgale branch.
“The creative collaboration started in 2006, when the new artist started to go together at a plenary session, so that by painting shared experiences, feelings, resting, exhausted strength and confidence on the need for creative road,” -- that is what art scientist Evija Vasilevska says about artistic art.
There are paintings between conversations, peace and excitement, the themes of which are seen through the “beacons” windows.
THE “lighthouse” administration is always grateful to the artists for the opportunity to enjoy the art-making process on the banks of Lake Luban and the remaining beauty in color and brushes.
