Maltā took place at the Friendship event

16.02.2017

For young people

On February 10, that year, at Maltas in the multi-functional hall, a twinning event was held for the second year, “Dyeubol”, which was played throughout the municipality – a volleyball organised BY Maltas secondary school self-administration, along with the Rezekne municipality's youth affairs specialist Jānis Šaudiņš. The aim of “girlfriend” was to promote young people's familiarisation and friendliness among themselves, the promotion of sport among young people, as well as an interesting and useful leisure of young people. But the idea of the main event lies in the mutual friendliness and cooperation of schools, because only the spirit of the team is able to combine people who were, in the past, opponents, but now struggled on one side of the area.
There were 8 mixed teams with students from three secondary schools in Rezekne: Kaunatas secondary schools, Nautrēnu secondary schools and Maltas secondary schools. A team called “AUSAIŅI” (Nikita Kopmanis, Lina Keisele, Egita Udre, Armands Ivolans, Everita nizina) was awarded the 3 rd place in the mixed team twinning competitions, where the team “SPORTSMITH” (Karina Semjonova, Rihards Antonov, Sanita Kuzminska, Anna Tripane, Oscars Ivolans) was awarded 2 nd place, while the prize 1 st place was won by the team with the name “SPIDER” (Janis Flower, una Kancāne, Amanda Lele, Artis Zwedris).
At the end of the evening there was a variety of other twinning activities, which further strengthened the friendship between schools: dances, contests, sitting with baskets. This part of the evening included not only the players themselves, but also the supporters who came with them.
Overall, “Monitor” left excellent impressions for both organisers and participants. It was a great experience that everyone would be going to repeat next year, already in the third “Degubola” competition.
