Maltā clarified finalists in Latvian basketball Union organised pre-grading project “Sportland first steps in basketball”
“Sportland first football in basketball” Latvian youth basketball league in collaboration with sports clothing and inventory traders “Sportland” is organized for a quarter of a year. Following the invitation of the Rēzekne municipality's children-youth sports school, the Latvian basketball Union representatives also visited Maltā.
On January 17 (Wednesday), one of the seven planned semi-finals took PLACE IN THE multifunctional hall OF Maltas. 17 teams came forward FOR the semi-final phase OF Maltas. Total 250 students.
Maltā visited students from Jçkabpils, Kraslava, Pļavinu municipality, Krustpils and Daugavpils municipality schools. On the other hand, the landlords, the Maltese, were in majority in terms of the number of teams. The first basketball football was also tested BY Dricānu, flame, Maltas special, Sakstagala, Feimaņu primary school small sport intents.
Prior to the competition, warm-up exercises followed, followed by 10 matches with basketball elements.
IN the large Latvian final, a Dricānu secondary school team “First Steps”, Daugavpils 12 th Secondary School “Tikers” and two teams of the Kraslava elementary school - “Fixin” and “flashes”.
In conclusion, all participants received basketball bombs and souvenirs from the Latvian Basketball Union.
Semi-final stages in January and February will take place in rugar, Bauska, Talsi, Saldus, Sigulda and Riga. The final will be held on 27 February at Riga, O.Kalpaka Riga People's Office.
The final winners will be able to go excursion to Liepāja and meet Christapa Porzins .1. -3. the winners will be able to visit Latvia's national unit training and meet players. All classes that will participate in the final will receive a basketball inventory.
