For young people

On 23 August, a project of youth initiatives with an exciting and non-traditional name “EvSinDanVitUnJan2” was launched at Maltas children and youth centre. The designs of the project and the authors of the name – young people who are active IN Maltas BJC.

In order for the event to be colourful, unusual and attractive, the young people chose to organise it in the Japanese mood, already exploring what is typical of Japanese traditional sports, culture and country.

Non-traditional sports games developed as a gambling event in which teams had to perform eight different tasks. Both the names of the stables and their tasks were designed with a creative approach: Sushi Bari, “sumo fight”, “Maski shovi”, “Lieloko shorti starti-San”, “Fuji kalns”, “balloon bomb”, “Keginting-San”, “Risso-Tofu”, “Grand stafetek”. Each task reflected a Japanese cultural tradition or sport, but one of the tasks was the success of a successful team.

The project included six teams consisting of young people from Maltas, Feimaņu, Silmalas parish, Ozolaines parish “OZOyoung”, crucks and Dagda.

A special thanks to Vitaly Scherbacov and his students from Tiskades, who introduced the art of war to all the present. The demonstration of young people in the arts was very impressive!

A diverse sports inventory was purchased for the implementation of the project. The entire inventory will be stored AT Maltas BJC and will continue to be widely used in other activities and events for young people.

Young people who organised these unprecedented competitions improved their skills in the planning of events. The participants, on the other hand, had positive feelings, met new friends, and, as the young people themselves acknowledged, expeditiously and interestingly spent one rainy August day.
