History:
The primary school was first mentioned in archive documents in 1932, but it had previously worked as a Russian primary school in Lebanon. It was located in a manor building, surrounded by an alley and a pond system around Italian architect. At first, the school was 4-year-old and exposed to the Rēzekne county education department.
From 1949 until 1959, the school was called Lipensk 7-year-old school. As a result of moving to an 8-year-old education in 1959, the name is acquired by an 8-year-old school and retained until 1990.
The reconstruction of the school building was held in 1962. The school had a second floor, a sports hall, a boarding room. In 1967, the school had an open-air division in order to obtain secondary education.
On January 21, 1991, the school moved INTO THE MUNICIPALITY of Ozolaines parish and acquired the name of the primary school.
In 2009, the reconstruction of the main primary school heating system has been carried out within the framework of the project “reconstruction of the foundry primary school heating system”, together with an amount of LVL 138 037. During the implementation of the project, a boiler house building has been built, an internal and external waterway, external and domestic sewerage networks, external heating networks, a heating system at school.
As of 29 July 2009, the primary school of the castle was reorganised as a SECONDARY school unit OF Maltas.
