Small project competition for Latgale non-governmental organisations

On 15 December, the association “Southern Latgale NGO Support Centre” (DNVOAC) will announce the Regranted Latgale small project competition of THE MINISTRY of Culture OF LATVIA, which aims to promote the development of civil society initiatives and the participation of the population, providing support to the non-governmental organisations of the Latgale planning region and promoting their mutual cooperation, as well as supporting non-governmental organisations of the regional minorities.
Latgale NGO projects can be submitted in the following areas:
Civil society initiatives and citizens' participation projects:
- information and educational activities on the protection of interests and participation in decision-making, involving cooperation partners from NGOs, municipalities, educational institutions etc.;
- organize activities that provide knowledge and develop civil skills and opportunities;
- organise events that promote public initiative and involvement in the improvement of local community life;
Intercultural dialogue/minority initiatives:
- promote the preservation and development of minority identity and cultural heritage by supporting the creative collective activities of various ethnic minorities, the development of minority traditions;
- promote the civic participation and cooperation of minorities;
- organise intercultural dialogue promoting mutual awareness and stereotyping.
- In the field of intercultural dialogue/minority initiatives, the involvement of both minorities and the target groups should be ensured by providing mutual cooperation for the implementation of project activities.
Maximum amount of the project: EUR 3000.

December 10 - Award council, at: 10:00,
December 11 - Centre FOR Prevention NGOs, at 13:00,
December 12 - Kraslava, LLCC indoors 7, 14:00
December 15 - Daugavpis Municipality Centre, at: 11:00.
Workshop agenda:
- familiarisation, information on the competition;
- the tender rules, the types of projects, the possibilities of participation;
- project application form, project components;
- the possibilities of ideas – activities to be supported by the project competition;
- evaluation criteria;
- questions/answers.
