Methodological Day AT Kaunatas High School

On 28 October, THE Kaunatas secondary school doors were open to visitors from the entire school and the educational administration, as the methodological day took place. After registration, during which teachers were able to choose their own interest group and receive an appropriate badge, the guests (86 colleagues) were introduced to the school by teachers: there was an opportunity to both look at colleague cabinets and ask questions about the technologies used, for example, in the study of natural sciences, and to attend Kaunatas in the management of the teacher S.Inkina. After meeting the school, everyone had a chance to listen TO Kaunatas High School. Muslim lectures “socio-emotional competence of teachers”, ask questions and express their opinions. On Kaunatas High School's participation IN THE VIAA Erasmus + project, the Director of the Director, MR Clismete, who participated in the design of the project and co-ordinate the teacher visits to foreign courses, and the teacher E.Kairiša, who visited further training courses in Cyprus in September.

After lunch in the school canteen, there was a work in interest groups. Those who had chosen the creative workshop “use of interdisciplinary approaches in Latvian language, history and class hours” (see I.Paramonova) were able to acquaint themselves with “Kaunatas house stories”, meaning and also look at the results. The representatives of the Extraordinary Sciences mostly chose to act in the “Legorobotics Interdisciplinary Approach — Practical Activity” (see E.Kairiša), where there was an opportunity to look at future technological developments and discuss how they affect children's algorithmic logical thinking. It was possible to teach “lubricants” in the group “Diversity of weaving technique — practice” (see L. Museum). In the group “forest tasks — practical activity” (see G.Savicka), it was proposed to operate in groups with integrated content associated with forest and living nature. The lesson took place in a knowledgeable creative activity, during which time he had the opportunity to share his experience and to get something new from his colleagues. His emotions and benefits could be summarised in the questionnaire and also in the part of the evaluation.

When all the buses and cars had gone home, there was a waiting silence in the school because the vacation was over and the next curriculum would begin.
