On Sunday, July 8, XXVI's general Latvian song and XVI dance festival Riga concluded with an unforgettable final concert. The day before that, the Daugava stadium was composed of dancers in the ambitious big concert “Mar Land.” Larger or smaller concerts in and outside the premises, art exhibitions, the amateur business market in Vermane Gardens, the people's uniforms of the festival participants, articles, ornaments, flowers and joy, Latvian language in its diverse forms – all of which constituted a total of this festive week.
Among the singers in the big joint choir, Mežaparka's erection also took the voice of the four Choice of Rezekne, a mixed choir of Rezekne, “Ezerland” (conductors Erik Chudars, Anda Lipska, rota straw), THE female choir of THE Maltas cultural house “Madarina” (dirigente Christine Pavlovska), and Dricānu-Str Ujlovska, and Dricānu-Str. In contrast, among the dancers in the big concert, footsteps were written by 15 people of different generations of Rezekne – young people, middle-generation, seniors. A total of 32 collectors, with 640 participants, represented a total of 32 collectors in the main festival. In the garden of Vermane, we could see our podiers from the studio “Rēzeknis District puzzles”, the weavers, the leather-handling masters.
The Rēzekne municipality's self-employed counselors represented the honour, taking part not only in the final concerts and in the general trials, but also in the vocal symphonic music superconcert, the voxal ensemble concert, the blower orchestra in Esplanade, the People's Music concerts in Vermane's garden, and the Etnographic Freedom Museum. The best success was for the “Skonai” of young people (manager Guntra Kuzmina-Jukna), who won 1 st place and “Latvian Voice” award in the national vocal competition competition, which took place on July 2 in the small Guild.
As the head of the Rēzekne municipality's cultural division Inara Pleixšne, the preparation of the song festival is still a difficult and complicated process that began in the beginning of the year, as festivals, they are not just concerts and attempts, they are also accommodation places, participants' meals, transport, safety … everything is perfect to anticipate and be calculated for the festival to run and be given to honour. Rēzekne Municipality had settled collectively in Riga at the 46 th High School in Old Town and 28 th High School in Sarkandaugava. The rooms and rooms had turned into self-employed homes, with mattresses, bags, stands with concert dresses, some collective dancer with golden hands, even screwing up a cupboard so that the gorgeous suits were kept neatly and gently preserved for concerts. The security of the participants was guarded by the National Police Representative – the criminal police inspector Kaspars red, who admitted that the festival had gone peacefully. There was always one of the volunteers in the school lobby, and the stalls could meet all the latest information, meals of meals, find out where dancers, singers, orchestrators settled in the room. In turn, a nice and responsive school nurse Valentina Līce took care of the participants' health.
The long hours of rehearsal and the sleeping nights on the hard mattress, the cold north-wind and the beginning of the week of the rain, did not make any difference in the optimism of the festival participants. Sometimes it seemed an incredible phenomenon – as dancers and singers could sleep for just a couple of hours, but to stand up so beautifully and cheerfully, to play concerts and create a miracle of art!
“All nights are not Jāņu nights, they are festival nights,” – says Cordirigent, a member of many songs festival Eric Chudars. In his view, the festival, with his joy and difficulty, puts a crowd on the collective, revealing the character of each participant, causing him to grill, as he can only work. These song festivals take place in the centenary of the national centenary, so it is necessary to think about that, even after a hundred years, it would be a festival and their participants to be who singing in Latvian. The “catarsi” was created by the motive of the unborn child, but at the same time, the disappointment, why the events of the song festival participants were prevented from participating in the trials this year. We fear, too, that the festival must live with children, so that they can tell them the consciousness of their identity, which must be raised from the infant. '
IN Dricānu parish dance collections “Jumalo” and “Yumalēni”, Sylvia Bocta emphasized that the dance of the dance “Mars Land” is important with the fact that they are bringing up a feeling of patriotic patriotism, as they are currently too little in society. Young people from Feimaņu parish dance collective “Vimyns” acknowledged that the dances showing the theme of the Latvian people's freedom struggle were most liked.
It was beautiful and touching to see the festival at the end of the concert, in the performances of the coclers, “through a silver grove,” in the big light-table—where the choir singers come from. The Merdzene was next to Melbourne, Varakalans – Vancouver, there was also our Nagļi and Vērēmi, Sherjans and Dricāni, Nautrēni and Feimaņi, all as a single large silver grove, which must be preserved, which should not be broken and trapped. The tradition of Latvian songs and dance festivals is equally common and conspicuous – through hundreds of hundreds of years and hundreds of foreign power, it must not be deferred now that money, money and money are indifference in the weights of the people's palms. The song festival phenomenon as an integral part of the Cultural Canon is a national value, so the long working hours of singers, dancers, orchestrans, folklore set participants, efforts and sweat are invaluable. It is said that this year, the first year's post-festival day was declared a holiday, but I believe that a law on song and dance festivals would be required in the country, which would strengthen the status of the songs and dance festivals, since participation in national and internationally assessed festivals is not comparable to any daily hobbies …
“Those who participated in festivals as singers, dancers and participants, like the concert public, are the best part of Latvia's population, who needs spiritual values and who will open the heart to all the beautiful and good lives,” – the musician Ilona facebook.lv writes in its social network.
In conclusion, statistics. This year, there were 43 219 participants in the song and dance festival. Over half a million visitors watched over the course of the week, most of which was the final concert at the star. More than 67,000 visitors listened to the 16 000 corpse singing. A great interest in the events was not only in Latvia but also in many places in the world. THE live shows OF LTV and LMT “Stream” were watched by people from several dozen countries around the world. The biggest interest has been from the Uk, USA, Canada and Ireland, as well as Germany and Australia. However, in some cases, the viewers have also been in remote areas such as Thailand, Cambodia, Peru and Argentina.
