Projects

Prior to the planned period of construction of construction, the construction firm Vītols of Nagļu has successfully completed the reconstruction works of the water farm and the new objects have been put into service. The reconstruction of a drinking water drilling, the construction and reconstruction of a water pipeline, the improved sewerage system and the installation of new water treatment facilities have been performed in order to improve the provision of such important service. The total eligible costs of the project are EUR 356 055.47, from which ERDF co-financing is 302 647.15 EURO. The implementation of the project was launched in 2013 when the municipality of Rezekne, Nagļu parish, signed a water management development project “Rēzekne Municipality Nagļu parish development OF Nagļu village water farm”.

THE Nagļu village is located at THE centre OF the Rēzekne Municipality Nagļu. Nagļi is Latvia's largest lake in the immediate vicinity of Luban, which is part of the Daugava catchment area. The main business directions IN Nagļu parish are fisheries and fisheries. Part Nagļu parish is included in the nature reserve “Luban wetlands”. The purified sewage from two water holdings in the system and the scales flow into the Rēzekne and Vecminta rivers.

As a result of the implementation of the water management development project, a water-compliant drinking water Nagļu village FOR the population OF 75% has been provided. By reconstruction of water supply networks, water losses by 4.51 TP1T have been reduced, infiltration will decrease by 8.61 TP1T per year. The efficiency and energy efficiency of wastewater treatment will be improved, electricity consumption from 1.25 kW/m3 to 1.12 kWh/m3 per year will be reduced. The implementation of a water-holding reconstruction project involves direct benefits (effects) which give immediate local benefit from the project's disposal and indirect effects that affect the area as a whole over a long period of time.

When implementing a water management development project, direct benefits are:

  1. ensuring the rational use of natural resources (through the installation of water meters; energy efficient installations, reduction of unjustified water losses);
  2. improved security of water supply: operation of systems in the event of electrical supply disruption; coupling, damaged damaged and critical pipelines;
  3. reduced risk of sewerage system accidents and waste water leakage in Latvia's largest Luban Lake system;
  4. reduced risk to groundwater and surface water pollution which could be caused by inadequately insulated installations;
  5. reduced capacity of human resources related to repair and replacement of equipment and emergency pipelines;
  6. improved parish water management infrastructure as a whole;
  7. increased opportunities for rapid development of business, tourism and economic activity IN the parish OF Nagļu.
