In January and February, the training OF the EU funds in the adult education project “improvement of professional competence of employed persons” was initiated by 3695 people who were working in the autumn of last year. The next application will be expected in the spring of this year - in mid-March, when the people in the above four sectors will be able to choose the lessons now in 12 different sectors. As with pre-registration, the month by submitting a training application to an educational institution in the presence of an educational institution. In view of the fact that learning opportunities can be used only once during the project, we call on the educational institution to carefully identify the content and topics of the selected educational programme, as well as assess the qualifications of the teachers offered and to ascertain whether the learning of the selected learning needs knowledge. After applying for training in two months, residents will receive training confirmation so that training groups and training can start in educational institutions in June of that year. Also in the second round, students and self-employed persons aged 25 years of age with uncompleted or completed education - primary education, general secondary, vocational or higher education depending on the training selected and the necessary pre-knowledge will be eligible for training. The following 12 economic sectors will be expected to sign up in March:

  • manufacture of textiles, clothing, leather and leather products
  • food industry and agriculture;
  • catering services and tourism;
  • printing and media technologies;
  • transport and logistics;
  • energy;
  • chemical industry;
  • culture;
  • construction;
  • wood-growing;
  • manufacture of electronic and optical equipment, information and communication technologies;
  • metalworking, mechanical engineering and engineering.

The training costs of 90% are covered BY EU funds and national, 10% is the co-payment of the employee, which can also be covered by the employee's employer. In turn, the training is free of charge for persons with reduced or poor status. If one of the interested workers feels that advice or career advice is necessary in shaping further career and choosing the most appropriate training, we are invited to make use of the opportunity to apply for a career consultation of the project co-operation partner employment counsellors in 28 organisations of the organisation throughout Latvia before announcing the application. The project “improvement of professional competence of employed persons” is financed by the European Social Fund and the Latvian State by investing more than 25 million euros by 31 December 2022.
