For young people

For the first time, the Vistatia erudition competition “European Attemis” was held, involving the team '' Eurojoy '' in five people from Nautrēnu secondary school. During the competition we wanted to find out whether our knowledge of Europe is competitive in Latvian-wide competitions.
The competition took place in five stages. Each of them took place in another city of Latvia -- Valmiera, Jçkabpils, Kuldīga, recreational base '' Ramkalni '' and Riga. Each round of the game had its own subject, which was linked to the process in the European Union.
In the first phase, which took place in Valmiera Cultural House, Commander '' Eurojoy '' had to face the complex issues of erudition on the topic '' bridge Riga - New York '' or a transatlantic trade agreement.
In the second phase, the team went to Jekabpils, where there was a debate on “Europe charging” or the energy Union. Each team had to oppose the previous team's opinion by creating two fractions - for and against.
In Kuldīga, there was an orientation competition, which was supplemented by tasks on the theme “born in Latvia, loved throughout Europe” or THE EU single market.
'' Ramkalnos' 'team participated in sports - hiding, which in both Latvia and the world is growing more rapidly. Hiding with the help of the map had to find hidden skis and read information, it was related to the topic “code: D1g1t al E1r0pa” or the Digital Agenda for Europe.
The closing of the competition took place in Riga, Latvia's television, it was supposed to go with a prepared homework -- a video that had to show the team's vision of “money creates money” or employment, growth and investment. Every video was rated by a professional jury in six people. This event was accompanied by a summary of the competition and the award of best teams. The team '' Eurojoy '' won the high tenth of 44 teams in competition.
In addition to competing competitions, 2 Online Tasks are offered every month until the next stage of competition. Each completed task gave 3 points to the overall assessment. “Threw the trunks!” the themes of the tasks were related to the subject of the approaching stage. The completed tasks were to be published on the social network “Facebook”. Both “thrown the trunks!” and the preparations for the discipline were time-consuming, but very sincere. This competition gave us the motivation to learn more about developments, processes and events in Europe. By participating in the competition, we did not only supplement our knowledge of Europe, but also looked and looked closer to the cities where disciplines took place.
The team would like to thank the local government of Rezekne for their financial support!
