Newsprint, VEREMS and Rezekne Dzirnavnieks become Rēzekne SEZ.

On August 12, that year, a festive event for the fifth year was awarded the award for the winners of the annual Prize of the Special Economic Zone of Rezekne (RSEZ). In assessing the 2015 indicators, the “annual company” award was awarded to three RSEZ commercial companies: “NewFuels” RSEZ SIA and “VEREMS” RSEZ SIA in the group of large/medium-sized commercial companies and “Rezekne Dzirnavnieks” IN THE RSEZ AS small commercial company group.
Two companies were recognised as winners in the nomination “annual company” in the group of large/medium-sized commercial companies: “NewFuels” production company “NewFuels” RSEZ SIA and the birch plywood producer “VEREMS” RSEZ LTD. The company “NewFuels” RSEZ SIA RSEZ received the following awards in the annual prize competition: 1 st place in nominations “annual investments” and “fastest growing company”, 2 nd place in nominations “annual producer”, “largest taxpayer” and “largest exporter”. At the initiative of the social partners, the company was also awarded a recognition article entitled “Promoting employment”. In 2015, the company made more than 7,7 million euro investments, with a total turnover of eur 15,4 million last year. “Newfuels” employs 52 employees.
While the birch plywood producer “VEREMS” RSEZ SIA awards received the following nominations: 1 st place in nominations “annual producer”, “largest taxpayer” and “fastest growing company”, as well as 3 rd place in nominations “largest exporter” and “annual investments”. The company also received the recognition article “as the most stable company”. In 2015, the total turnover of the company was eur 29.9 million, with more than eur 2 million paid to the State. 339 employees are employed in the company.
In the group of small commercial companies, the main prize in the nomination “ANNUAL COMPANY” is awarded “Rezekne Dzirnavnieks” RSEZ AS. Grain Elevator company awarded awards in the following nominations – 1 st place in nominations “annual service provider”, “largest taxpayer” and “fastest growing company”, 3 rd place in nomination “annual investments”, as well as after the initiative of the social partners, the company has been awarded a recognition article “for responsible social partnership and mecenatism”. “Rezekne Dzirnavnieks” RSEZ HAS provided 4 million euros in 2015 and employs 36 employees, and the total turnover of the company has also increased by 20%.
The annual prize competition of RSEZ Commercial Companies in Rsez is organised with the aim of appreciating and honouring the successful RSEZ commercial companies, as well as their products and services, assessing the results of the previous year's activities. In the framework OF the annual prize competition OF RSEZ companies, RSEZ's commercial companies were assessed in 8 nominations – the annual service provider, the annual producer, the largest taxpayer, the largest exporter, the annual investments, the annual innovation, the fastest growing company, the annual company. According to their assessment, the evaluation of the achievements of companies took place in groups of large/medium-sized and small commercial companies.
THE annual prizes of THE RSEZ commercial companies on investment IN THE development OF RSEZ in 2015 in the group of large/medium-sized commercial companies were granted to SIA “LEAX Rezekne” RSEZ, “REBIR” RSEZ AS and RSEZ “MAGISTR-FISCAL EVEGN GROUP.MF G” LTD. In the small group of companies, the recognition articles on investment IN THE development OF RSEZ were granted in 2015 to companies “NORDKOM” RSEZ SIA, “TURMAN” RSEZ SIA, RSEZ “LATION” SIA, “MB Properties” RSEZ SIA, SIA RSEZ “DFD”, RSEZ SIA “IRBIS Technology”, “EsJu” RSEZ SIA, RSEZ “REDIUS” SIA and “Atmosclear CHP” RSEZ SIA.
Currently, THE status of RSEZ's commercial company is granted to 19 companies. The most important sectors are wood processing, metalworking, manufacturing, storage and storage of equipment and instruments. The total turnover of RSEZ commercial companies in 2015 was eur 70.5 million, WITH more than 811 employees employed IN RSEZ companies.
